This years upcoming Art Contest and will be for grades 7 and 8. The Winner will be announced on December 15th. The winner will be given a trophy and gift card during the Paradise Valley Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in the Town Hall on Monday, January 17th, 2022. The Winner and their family are invited and encouraged to attend.
Project Topic: Seeing Hope in Changing Times
Questions: During these changing times, where do you see hope in your life? Why is it important to stay hopeful?
Requirements:
The art project should be no bigger than the dimensions: 10 x 12 inches. Student name, school and grade should be on the back of the canvas, paper, etc. Upload a picture of the project as a PDF, JPG or PNG format.
Deadline:
Submission deadline of the art project is December 1, 2021.

There will be one overall winner
Finalists will be notified by December 15, 2021.
The projects will be judged on:
Relevance to the topic; content; and clarity
Focus and Coherence – Throughout the piece of art, the ideas are related and give a clear understanding of the project topic/question.
Organization – The message of the art pieces is clear.
Voice – The artists’ unique art style and personality comes through their work.
With submission of your art project, you are approving the artwork to be published and used in promotions, along with the student’s name, grade and school. You are also committing to the original quality of the project. Any projects that are not original will be automatically disqualified.
